Previously, we adjusted the minimum pension to the minimum food basket, which meant that the pensioner had to receive the minimum required calories for a month, and now, several years later, including the post-payment system, we maintain the average pension at a level sometimes 10 percent higher than the minimum consumer basket.
Starting in 2028, we will increase the size of pensions so that the pension is no longer below the minimum consumer basket in Armenia,” the Prime Minister said.
Nikol Pashinyan also touched upon the discussions that followed his proposal to pensioners to buy a ticket for an increased part of their pension and go to Larnaca. He said: Yes, it is possible.
