Cat Kaya lives in one of the Canadian animal shelters. From the moment of birth, this small cat has a well-defined deformation of the muzzle. The deformity has affected the location and size of the animal’s eyes, which are very atypical and much smaller than usual.
Kaya was brought to the shelter when she was only 4 weeks old. In addition to problems with the muzzle, the girl was dehydrated, she was pestered by parasites. They found an overexposure for the baby, but so far they have not been able to find a loving family.
Volunteers took care of the right treatment, so the girl quickly recovered. Kaya turned out to be playful and affectionate, like other kids, she is active and inquisitive, and also very smart.
The cat recently had eye surgery. Veterinarians ensured that the cat was no longer in pain, but they could not restore vision. Kaya knows how to navigate the house, she distinguishes what is nearby. The shelter staff does not give up hope that Kaya will be taken into the family, actively using social networks to search.
