Last April was cloudy and cold. One rainy day, a puppy suddenly appeared in our yard. The baby was left in the yard in a cardboard box, he was soaked through and trembling from the cold.
I felt sorry for the baby, but all I could do was give him food. My daughter and grandson came to visit me, a 4-month-old baby and an unfamiliar dog were not the best neighborhood. We were helped by an elderly neighbor who agreed to take the dog and arrange a warm place for his in the barn.
With a neighbor, we agreed that the puppy will live with him for a week, and then we will go to the city and bring the dog to a shelter located along the road.
A week later we came for a puppy, but Nikolai refused to give him up. During this time, a lonely pensioner became so friendly with the animal that he decided to keep it for himself. This turn of events made me happy. The puppy has a home, and our neighbor has a good friend.
Nikolai and the dog quickly became best friends. The dog was named Deny, and soon a strong puppy kennel appeared in the neighboring yard, the dimensions of which made it possible to accommodate a couple of adult dogs.
Deny answered his master’s care with selfless love. The dog always accompanied the pensioner, they walked together and went to the store, Deny always sat on the porch and gave when the man finished shopping, looking at the door so hard he had not seen his loved one for a long time.
