This story happened a few years ago with a woman. In the summer, she always took her cat to her mother’s cottage so that he would not be bored alone in the apartment, but would be in nature. This time the cat, as usual, went on vacation to the country, but then everything did not go according to plan.
The cat stayed at the dacha for only three days, when his mother called his owner and said that the cat was dying. According to the woman, the cat slept and drank all day, completely refused to eat. The hostess decided that the cat was ill and at the first opportunity went to the dacha. The cat did not even come out to meet his mistress, he behaved apathetically and listlessly. The woman examined the cat, but outwardly he was in order, there was no temperature either.
She helped her mother at the dacha, and occasionally looked after the cat, trying to understand the reason for his strange behavior. At lunchtime, the hostess could not find her pet at all. During the search, the woman noticed paws from under the closet, it turned out that the cat was trying to hide there. When the owner managed to pull the cat out from under the closet, the animal held a dried valerian root in its teeth. Under the cabinet there was another whole box with this plant.
As it turned out, the previously dried root was in the first-aid kit, screwed to the wall, but the cat managed to pull it off and hide it. Under the closet, the cat ate valerian, and his strange behavior is explained very simply — for several days the cat suffered from a hangover.
