In winter the sun sets early, so Lydia returned from work when already it was dark. The woman had almost reached her house when a couple of men unexpectedly approached her and made an attempt to rob her bag. There were no passers-by, but a stray dog suddenly stood up to protect the woman.
The animal rushed at the men, with a loud bark, scaring them away and calling for help from late passers-by. The men got scared and disappeared.
Lydia didn’t dare to leave her savior in the cold, so the dog stopped wandering the streets and found love and affection, and the woman decided to take care not only of a new pet, but of other dispossessed dogs living nearby.
